New Jersey Commissions’ Student Advisory Committee 2025-2026 School Year
The New Jersey Commissions acknowledge the importance of student voices and leadership in their education. As a result, we would like to encourage student participation and leadership through the New Jersey Commissions Student Advisory Committee. In order for the Commissions to better serve the students of the state, we need to gather their feedback on education initiatives.
Students will participate in three quarterly virtual meetings during the academic school year and will share their insights on a panel at the Amistad Summer Institute.
The Commission invites all New Jersey district, charter, and renaissance schools to submit a student nominee.
Eligibility:
Any high school student in grades 9-12 attending district schools, charters, and renaissance schools with good academic standing interested in participating.
STEP 1: Nomination
School and district staff can nominate students who may be interested in participating in the New Jersey Commissions Student Advisory Committee.
STEP 2: Documentation
Each nominee must complete the form and submit:
- A copy of their high school transcripts/report cards (must include attendance)
